With the weather starting to cool down I’m ready to welcome fall with open arms! Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy the SoCal sunshine but this heat has been getting to me lately for some reason. As I get older I feel like I appreciate fall weather so much more. I mean who doesn’t love pumpkin spice latte, sweater weather, holiday festivities, and hiking outdoors (without burning from the heat) which you can say is probably my “Fall Guiltless Pleasure.”
To me this is the best form of exercise since its free, refreshing, and at times it can be challenging (depending on the trail). This is just something I’ve always enjoyed since I was in middle school and still do till this day. Today I decided to take my little sister on a short hiking trip with me. This was one of my favorite trails growing up and I would ofter come back if I’m ever in the area. The trail is probably considered intermediate and would take no long then 2 hours to complete (so 3-4 hours total! depending on how fast your going). The hike was simple enough for both of us to finish and enjoy. We talked, caught up with one another, and couldn’t pass up the opportunities to take some cute pictures from the hike. The best part about this trail is the waterfall at the end, which your able to swim in if you want but we passed on that and just sat down to watch others enjoy it.
Since we were spending the entire day on this hike I wanted to be prepared with a backpack full of necessities. I just wanted to share what I brought with me and maybe this will help you on you next hiking trip.
