I really love watching “day in the life” or “get ready with me” videos on YouTube. It just fascinates me to learn how others spend their days! Anyone else guilty of this?? Since I haven’t done anything like this yet, I thought it would be fun to share “my morning routine” post with you today.
Since being a full-time blogger my morning routines have been quite different lately. Before I usually woke up late (due to the fact that I’m not a morning person at all) and I’d be running out the door to my 9-5 (which I dreaded every morning). Now, I freelance in Social media and create content for brands, so my schedule has been all over the place! Finding a routine that works for me has taken some time to develop over the last few months, but I think I got the hang of it. This brings me back to my college days when I first started as a freshman and didn’t know what the heck I was doing.
7:00am | Alarm Goes Off
Every morning at 7:00am my alarm goes off on my phone. My goal is to get up around this time every morning to have a productive day, but that rarely happens since I tend to work pretty late on my blog. That being said realistically I usually get up around 8-8:30 and reach for my phone.
8:30am | Get Out Of Bed and Make Coffee
Every morning starts with a good cup of coffee to wake me up. Lately, I’ve been taking my coffee black (since cream and sugar upsets my stomach throughout the day). As soon as my coffee is brewed I’m ready to gather my laptop and start working!
9:00am | Work
Every morning my day can start off slightly different (depending on events, deadlines, meetings etc) but most morning starts off like this. As soon as I consume my first cup of coffee I usually opt for seconds (depending on how much sleep I had the night before) but today is one of those days where I lack sleep. I simply take my coffee upstairs to my room and begin working on my laptop from my bed.
It’s been roughly 2 months since the HP Spectre has been with me, and I have to say it has made working so much easier. The weight of this laptop allows me to work from anywhere and I simply just love it! I usually answer emails from the comfort of my bed, with my planner and phone beside me. After going through all my emails I begin to revise my blog post draft before it goes live. My posting schedule is set for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (so be on the lookout for a new post 3 times a week!). After re-reading my post and making sure everything looks good my post goes live.
In my previous post HERE and HERE, I wrote that having the right tools for work is important. My Hp Spectre has allowed me to take my mobile office from the comfort of my own home to anywhere I need to be. This laptop fulfills all of my requirements from the battery life (lasting up to 9 hours) to the irresistible chic design in a black with rose gold finish, this laptop also weighs in at 2.45lbs (it makes carrying it around so much easier). I’m thankful that this laptop has got me feeling inspired to work again, you can discover how incredible this laptop is for yourself HERE. Having the right work environment can really jumpstart your creativity the way it did for me.
