My First Pumpkin Patch

This year I decided to try something new and check out my first pumpkin patch near my friend’s house in the city of Irvine. We’ve been planning this trip since summer and since it’s a pretty big tradition for him to go every year, so he thought it would be fun to take me as well (since I’ve never been). Growing up I never really had any traditions in celebrating any holidays as a family. We usually don’t do things like this at all growing up, so what better time than now to start new traditions for myself.

Every year my friend Steven attends a new pumpkin patch (since they’re all different and offer different activities) so we googled the top 10 pumpkin patches in Los Angeles. We quickly came across a list within seconds. After narrowing down our top 3 (from photos and reviews) we ended up choosing 1 and headed to Tanaka Farms in Irvine the next day. We arrived at the pumpkin patch and I didn’t know what to expect. I had my camera in hand and as soon as I entered the pumpkin patch the field was filled with so many pumpkins! I couldn’t believe how many pumpkins there were! We wandered the field and came across so many cute places for photo ops. I was probably enjoying myself a little too much. I walked around for a few hours picking up over maybe 50 pumpkins or so to inspect them carefully before purchasing. I was on the mission for the perfect pumpkin and after careful consideration, I went home with this one on my lap (pictured at the top).

Now let’s talk about what I wore to Tanaka Farms. Since it cooled down quite a bit in Los Angeles I decided to layer up wearing my go-to fall look. Lately, I’ve been browsing the internet to find a new pair of black skinny jeans for the season. I came down to this pair of Hudson jeans and it’s called the “Nico Mid-Rise Distressed Skinny” in the color black and its known for being a second-skin skinny jeans. If you guys aren’t familiar with the brand they’re a well-established brand that’s rooted in the legacy of British cool and liberated by the free spirit of LA. I’ve worn Hudson for years and I’m glad to be adding this to my current wardrobe. I quickly placed my order on Zappos and within a day or two it was on my doorstep waiting. Zappos made online shopping such an easy experience with product photos (that offered views from different angles), a 360 video going into details (exactly how a sales representative would explain in stores), and a very descriptive detail of the item that can be found on the site. The best part about Zappos is they’re insanely generous 365-day return policy. Yeah you read that right! You have an entire year to decided if the jeans are right for you. They also offer fast and free shipping, if you’re impatient like me Zappos also offers one-day shipping so you may receive your order by the end of the following business day.

This holiday season I’ll definitely do most of my shopping on Zappos (Since I’m trying to avoid crowded areas) for all my loved ones. Zappos has sold me on their  365-day return policy, and I think it’s something my friends and family would appreciate a lot as well as fast shipping not to mention free as well! Anything that’s hassle-free during the holidays is a winning in my books. Since the Holiday’s are around the corner it’s not too early to start planning.
