Taking you guys on a quick trip to San Diego with me today! If you guys follow me on Instagram and Snapchat then you already know that I was in San Diego recently for a quick daycation. This was probably one of the first time I actually explored San Diego. My friend Randy and I decided to basically come here to eat through the city and if you keep scrolling down I’ve listed all the places we went along with some photos and the location. I hope you guys enjoy this quick little recap from SD.
2335 University Ave, San Diego CA 92104
After leaving early around 9am (and not having my morning coffee) I knew my first stop would be here. This place was recommended to me by a reader, and she suggested that I stop by. She instantly sold me on the aesthetics of this place along with the good coffee and avocado toast. This place definitely sounds like somewhere I would go on the daily! I was blown away at how picture perfect this cute little coffee shop was! I was in awe with the interior and the friendly service. I ordered a latte flight (which consist of their best selling flavors) and of course I had to get the avocado toast with egg and prosciutto.
We spent a few hours here enjoying our coffee and deciding where to have lunch next. I will definitely come back here if I’m ever in San Diego.
111 Washington St, San Diego CA 92123
We decided to have pizza for lunch! For some reason pizza always sounds like a good idea, especially if its New York style pizza by the slice. This place was recommended to us by our friends and since they were raving about it we just had to give it a try. The pizza were so good, so cheap, and it definitely satisfied our cravings!
1549 El Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego, California, 92101
We stopped by the famous Balboa Park for a visit to check out some awesome buildings and architecture. We ended up spending about 2 hours here walking around, taking some pictures, and just admiring this amazing park. In case you guys haven’t notice this place is HUGE!! it took us forever to walk around.
HAMMOND’S GOURMET ICE CREAM
3077 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92104
Ending out day at Hammond’s ice cream for a sweet treat. I saw this place on Instagram a little over a year ago and have been dying to try it. Before coming here I knew I wanted their famous ice cream flights with 32 flavors. I know this didn’t sound like a good idea but me and Randy really wanted to see if we could do it. This flight wasn’t cheap (around $45) but split between two of us it wasn’t that bad. We placed our ordered and the girl thought we were joking (LOLS) they took about 15 mins to make it, and after we got our ice cream it already started to melt as we were trying to take photos. I use to think I loved ice cream and can eat so much of it, but after that day I realized I didn’t enjoy it that much if I over did it. Not gonna lie it was pretty hard eating 16 different flavors of ice cream, and towards the end we were about to tap out. Luckily we finished everything (except for the cones) and we were pretty proud of ourselves.
