I recently just got back from New York, but as soon as I unpacked and did all my laundry its already time to pack up again for my next adventure. Like I said before I wasn’t expecting to go to NYC until a last minute opportunity (that was too good to pass up) and I had to take it. Part of my job is to be on the go and just take any opportunity that comes my way. Lately I’ve been able to fly more frequently and this time it will be an international trip (about 15+ hours) and the last time I stayed on a plane that long was in 2009.
For this trip I’m kind of anxious but excited at the same time. I’m so ready to explore a new country and really take in all the culture that Japan, Korea, and Taiwan has to offer. I’ll be traveling with 3 of my friends and I will try my best to document what I can to help give you guys tips if you ever plan to visit these countries.
Before I take off I wanted to show you guys what I pack on my carryon and tips that I’ve learned over time and from some of the best influencers in the industry.
10 THINGS I WOULD NEVER TRAVEL WITHOUT
1. MY CAMERA
When I travel this is the one thing thats always with me at all times. I like to document everything in sight if I want to remember it. Theres just something about taking awesome photos while you travel to look back on. As a blogger its important for me to have a good camera so that I’m able to provide high quality photos for you guys. If you don’t have a camera a phone works just as well.
2. MY HEADPHONES
I’m the type of person that like to listen to music while I sleep or watch a really good show/movie. For some odd reason I’m not able to sleep in complete silence and prefer some background noise. Anyone else like this?
3. AN EYE-MASK
For long flights a good eye-mask helps me sleep better and I suggest you bring your own instead of using the ones they give you. I feel like the ones from the airline are cheap and very uncomfortable.
4. HYDRAING MISK
When flying my face can get pretty dry so I feel like carry a hydrating mist like this one here from PIXI BEAUTY  to help hydrate my skin.
5. LIP BALM
One thing I can’t stand is dry lips and I have to carry any sort of lip balm in my bag to keep them hydrated.
6. PORTABLE CHARGER
I am guilty of always being on my phone (since it is my job to check emails and social media platforms) so my phone dies pretty quick. In my bag is a portable charger ALWAYS!
7. SUNGLASSES
After getting off a 15 hour flight this is the one accessory you will need the most!
8. HAND CREAM
Keeps my hands nice and moisturized
9. MY PLANNER
I like to be on a set schedule and find that writing everything in my planner helps me a lot. Still trying to be as organized as possible.
10. INFLIGHT SNACKS! MY barkTHINS
I have to admit I’m a huge snackers and when I’m traveling rather on an airplane or road trip I tend to load up on a ridiculous amount of snacks. I realized that isn’t healthy and since I’m traveling more thats one of my habits that I need to break. Lately I’ve been into healthier alternatives to help satisfy my cravings. My friend has recently introduced me to barkTHINS (my favorite is the coconut and almond) and its barks of dark chocolate infused with different nuts and fruits. After trying just a few pieces I was instantly hooked! I now just pack a bag or two in my carryon to snack on if I ever craved sweets. You guys should definitely try it you’ll thank be later!
Well I’m off now! I hoped you guys enjoyed this post and I’ll talk to you guys in Japan!
