Over the weekend, I decided to pick up my friend Linc and go on a spontaneous road trip to the desert. This year, I set a goal for myself to do some sort of traveling once a month and take you guys with me through my social-media platform/blog. So far, I have been keeping that promise, and I have been enjoying every bit of it.

On this trip, we decided to pay a little visit to the infamous Salvation Mountain just to see it for ourselves. I was beyond excited to finally make my way out here! I thought it was near Palm Springs (since that’s what others told me), but boy was I wrong when I mapped it out. Salvation Mountain is actually farther than Coachella by like an hour or so. This little road trip ended up being such a mission. It was really hot that day, so imagine how much worse it was in the desert!
After close to 3 hours, we finally arrived at our destination. We got out of the car and got hit with the heatwave instantly. It was almost unbearable until I realized it’s probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I walked around with Linc to admire all the amazing artwork that this man has hand-painted on a mountain in the middle of nowhere. After we made our rounds, we started to snap a few photos with these cool cars onsite. The color scheme on it looked amazing, and just standing next to it made such a great photo!
Now let’s talk about what I wore! Since I knew I was going to be stuck driving for a while, I wanted to make sure I was comfortable for the ride. Since we all know how hot the desert can get, black skinny jeans definitely weren’t an option! I recently got these joggers in the mail from the lucy indiGO line, which is new BTW.
The pants are a nice, light indigo color (perfect for that summer look), with a relaxed fit and premium stretch fabric. These joggers are made of their “lucy Tech” material, which is “moisture-wicking, quick-drying and breathable fabric that makes it great for high-sweat activities.” I ordered these joggers in a size small. The fit was just how I liked it, and the best part is I’m able to adjust the size a little bit with the drawcord around my waist. There are also handy pockets for easy storage for my keys and phone. Since these joggers are a lighter shade, I think they pair well with any white top. I just quickly threw on this loose crop top with a v-neckline and some neutral brown sandals. For me, comfort is key!
