Thinking about doing a quick girls getaway trip? Well theres no better time than during the summer. A couple of weeks ago I hopped on the Catalina Express and went on a quick little trip with some of my girlfriends. We decided to go to Catalina on a weekday (to avoid the crowd). The fairy was only an hour away from Los Angeles and its one of our favorite places to go and unwind.
The weather was at its highest that day, and I couldn’t think of wearing anything else other than shorts. Before my trip, I recently went to the outlet to buy a present for my niece from Gap Factory and they were having a storewide sale so I purchased these two shorts at 50% off. Who doesn’t love a good find at the outlet right? I was pretty happy with this purchase and packed both of these shorts on my trip.In this post I’ll be showing you guys what I wore on the trip, and how I styled my shorts from Gap Factory.
For my first look I decided to stick to the basics. Theres something super chic about a white button up paired with denim shorts. The color combo just goes so well together, and the best part is you probably have these closet staples lying in your wardrobe. If you don’t then Gap Factory has a great selection, so you guys should definitely check it out! I wore my bikini under this outfit (just incase we were doing water activities) and opted for fun white sunnies. For my sandals I decided to stick to my black leather slides since we were doing quite a bit of walking.

For my second look I decided to dress it up a little bit more since we planned to have a nice lunch by the beach before we leave. I wore these white shorts (that I got from Gap Factory) with a pink off the shoulder top and some cork wedges. This shade of pink has to be one of my favorite colors and I felt that it went so well with white bottoms. When I’m getting dress or planning out my outfit simple, comfortable, and effortless and this look definitely met all of these element. Before we left we took so many pictures together on the beach and it was the perfect way to end our trip.
I hope you guys like these looks, and as always thank you so much for reading.
