Summer Skin Musthaves

I partnered with AVEENO® on this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

During the summertime I like to stay active with outdoor activities such as hiking. I like to find new trails all around Los Angeles and even outside of LA as well. In this post I wanted to take you guys to one of my favorite trails to hike near where I grew up.

My parents live in the San Gabriel Valley which is 20 mins away from downtown Los Angeles. Near Pasadena is a trail called “Eaton Canyon” and thats one of the first trails I’ve ever hiked and still enjoy till this day. The hike is pretty simple (with very little incline) and at the end of the hike lies a beautiful waterfall where people normally swim in. Since the drought the waterfall barely has any water left which is kind of sad but I still enjoy this trail. This trail takes me about 3-4 hours to complete so I normally pack water, snacks, and a lot of sunscreen. During the summer the sun is pretty harsh on my skin so to keep me from getting sunburned I like to stay protected with sunscreen from Aveeno. The one I buy is the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen SPF 30 and I like to reapply it every hour just to be on the safe side. This is one of my favorite sunscreens because it’s fast absorbing, keeps my skin hydrated, it’s oil free, as well as sweat and water resistant. Aside from sunscreen I also keep my skin moisturized with Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion. This lotion is lightweight and keeps my skin hydrated and soft all day. During the summer I like to keep my products as minimal as possible and enjoy some fun in the sun!
