Travel Diary : A Day in Portland

A few weeks ago I was in Seattle with a few of my friends and since Portland was only a 3 hours drive away we decided to rent a car and go on a little adventure. We woke up and started our day at 7am. We stopped by Starbucks to grab our morning coffee and we were on our way to Portland.

MULTNOMAH FALLS

We arrived to the city around 12pm and the first stop was the famous Multnomah Falls (just 30 mins outside from Portland). It was the most highly recommend place to see in Portland, so we made that our first priority! The waterfall was amazing and its definitely quite the tourist attraction. It took us a while to take a photo without having too many people in the background. The Multnomah Falls was probably the highlight of my trip and I highly recommend it if you guys plan on visiting Portland soon.

VOODOO DOUGHNUTS
22 SW 3RD AVE, PORTLAND OR 97204

WHAT WE GOT
– THE LOOP DOUGHNUT
– GRAPE APE DOUGHNUT
– DIRT DOUGHNUT DOUGHNUT
– BACON MAPLE BAR DOUGHNUT

Next stop was the famous Voodoo Doughnuts! We were all excited to check out one of the most famous doughnut shop thats all over social media and basically the place that started the cereal donut trend? When we arrived the line was pretty short we probably only waited about 15 mins or so. The donut selections were pretty cool and the interior of the shop was definitely unique. We contemplated for a bit and then decided to go with these four donuts. Overall Voodoo donut is a pretty good spot to stop by for a sugar fix. These weren’t the best donuts I’ve ever had but it was one of those places that were on my bucket list to visit.

STEEL BRIDGE

Portland is know for being “Bridge City” so we definitely wanted to get up close and personal with a few. We planned on checking out 3 bridges but unfortunately we ran out of time and only made it to this one.

ADIDAS EMPLOYEE STORE

We decided to pay a little visit to the Adidas employee store hoping to get in but failed. We then walked across the street and saw 2 huge shoes and decided to snap a quick photo. I was pretty sad I couldn’t get into the Nike or Adidas store to do some shopping but hopefully I’ll be able to next time.

10 BARREL BREWERY

1411 NW FLANDERS ST, PORTLAND OR 97209

The last thing on our list was to drink some beer from a brewery. We asked one of the sales associate on a recommendation near by and he suggested 10 Barrel Brewing Co.. The brewery offered a great section of beers and food, so we decided to end our night here. We each ordered a flight of beer (10 samples of beer for $10) each along with pizza, fries, and wings that weren’t pictured here. The atmosphere was cool, the food was good, and some of the beers were good (I had mixed feelings on a few) but overall I would recommend this place to a friend.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this little Travel Diary from my trip to Portland. I didn’t eat as much as or even shopped as much as I would of like too, but I will definitely be back soon! This city is pretty amazing.
