Let’s talk about skin care! This is definitely a touchy subject for me since I have zero confidence in baring my face. Growing up, I never had a problem with acne or anything at all until my skin started to break out around the age of 17 or 18. The acne was uncontrollable, and this was probably one of my most vulnerable moments in my life. As time passed, the acne slowly started to go away and I started to build a skin-care regimen to slowly improve my complexion.
Right now, I’m using a few products that I am loving so far, but since my skin has been acting up a bit due to the colder weather it’s probably time that I switched up my cleanser and moisturizer.
Like every girl, I have a few of my go-to products (mainly drugstore brands) and I like to splurge on my moisturizer and serums (since my skin is acne prone). I made a quick Target run for the majority of my essentials, and, since Target started carrying a wide variety of brands, I was pretty eager to check them out.
I walked around the beauty aisle to look for my favorite eye cream. I have been pretty loyal to RoC Multi Correxion 5-in-1 Eye Cream, and I will continue to use this until they discontinue it. I was also in the market for cleansing oil since I’ve been hearing so many things about it. I decided to ask the Beauty Concierge for some recommendations on which brands I should try. She immediately asked me about my skin so she could can get a general idea of what products would work for me.
– Acne prone
– Combination/oily (depending on weather)
She also asked me what concerns I had, and I mentioned that I wanted to prevent fine lines and wrinkles in the long run. The cleansing oil is a good step since it helps remove makeup easily, so I won’t tug on my skin as much in the process. I purchased the Laneige Fresh Brightening Cleansing Oil as she recommended and she also suggested the Laneige Bright Renew Original Cream to go with the cleansing oil. I picked up these two products along with my RoC Eye Cream and Marlowe Body Lotion to keep my skin moisturized from head to toe.
