I’ve partnered up with Cotton on this post to bring you guys an “Athleisure Comfort” look. I’ll be showing you guys what I normally wear to workout and how I end up turning that gym outfit into a casual going–out outfit.
When I get dressed for the gym, I like to keep within my monochromic color palette. To me, black and white are really easy to mix and match, and can easily be dressed up or down. For my gym look here, I chose to wear a white sports bra, black leggings (of course), and a bomber jacket to complete my outfit. This look is super versatile and really comfortable to wear while working out or even running errands. That’s because the fabrics of the pieces that I’m wearing are cotton-rich.
I find that Cotton is the best fabric for everyday wear, especially if you plan on moving a lot throughout the day. When I’m shopping for sportswear, I like to check the label; I’m looking for items that are at least 60% Cotton. Cotton breathes easily (cotton breathes better than common synthetics, so, when you’re working out, it keeps you drier and cooler), it doesn’t retain odors (from cooking to bonfires, cotton releases odor very easily when being washed), and it’s low–maintenance (cotton is easier to wash than just about any other fabric; all you need to do is throw it in the washer).
These are just a few reasons why I prefer cotton-rich clothes. If you guys want to learn more about The Fabric of Our Lives®, then head over to their website. If you guys are curious to see if you already own any cotton-rich pieces, just read the labels of your clothing. You’ll be able to feel the difference in clothes from now on.

Dressing comfortably can easily be on–trend as well. I’m showing you guys how I easily swapped out a few key pieces to change up my look. My gym outfit created a great base for me to layer on other pieces for my next look. Underneath, I kept on my sports bra and leggings from my previous look; then I layered on an oversized white tee (I tied a knot to add more shape).
The next thing I did was swap out my bomber for a denim jacket, and my sneakers for black booties. The hat I wore is optional to the look so feel free to wear one or not. I decided to wear a dad hat with my outfit because it’s one of the biggest trends at the moment!
My whole outfit is cotton-rich and it’s super comfortable to wear all day. Since I’m always on the go, I like to be as comfortable as possible. If you guys are interested in learning more about cotton, then head over to their website HERE.
Fashion that functions is always in style. That’s why so many things in your closet are made of cotton. It’s breathable, durable, comfortable, and washable. It’s high end and low maintenance. So check your labels for cotton, and feel as good as you look. Learn more: TheFabricOfOurLives.com
